Reset fue formado en 1993 por Chuck y Pierre, cuando tenían trece años . Luego Phil Jollicoeur se unió a ellos en la guitarra, y J.S. Boileau en el bajo, y comenzaron su gira como Reset. Vendieron más de 2 000 copias de su primer cassette grabando Concern, en 1995, sin ser sikiera mayores de edad. Pero llamaron la atención de Greenland Produccions ' 2112 Records y en 1996 grabaron No Worries, después de haber hecho algunos videos y estado en giras ( incluyendo Vans Warped Tour ). Iban a grabar su segundo album, pero antes de que No Limits esté listo, J.S fué kickeado y Chuck dejó la banda para concentrarse más en sus estudios. Entonces Pierre estaba cantando y tocando el bajo a la vez, y Adrian se unió a la banda tocado batería. No mucho tiempo depués Pierre dejó la banda para concentrarse más en los estudios, igual que Chuck. Pronto David tomó su lugar tocando el bajo y cantando. David no grabó ninguna canción, aunke sin haberlo hecho participó en el video de My Dream And I y por un tiempo también hizo una gira con la banda. Pero al final David también dejó la banda después de que Chuck y Pierre le ofrecieran un lugar en Simple Plan. Después de dudar, David aceptó. Y hasta este momento Reset no ha hecho nada desde que David renunció.

Formed in 1993, Reset quickly went from playing in their parents1 basements to opening up for the likes of Pennywise, Face to Face and NOFX. Starting at the average age of 15, Reset quickly proved themselves to be one of the top Canadian Punk Rock acts playing countless shows from coast to coast. "No Worries", their first full length album was recorded at Morin Heights Studio 1n 1996 and mixed in Hollywood at Westbeach by Steve Kravac (Blink 182, MXPX,Ten Foot Pole). The video single from the album went into action rotation at Musiqueplus. The video continued gaining momentum and ended up on "The Alternative Top 10" for over 20 weeks !! Reset's second album entitled "No Limits" was recorded at the Factory in Vancouver by Greg Reely (Sarah McLaughlan, Fear Factory). The addition of drummer Adrian White in 1998 (formerly of Front Line Assembly) brought a wider scope to the music. With the addition of singer David Desrosiers, the music took a more melodic turn, with great melodies, amazing hooks and a new sonically solid sound. The video for "Pressure" reached #5 on the top 20 countdown on Musiqueplus and was picked up by radio stations across the country. RESET went on tour with BIG WIG and TEN FOOT POLE which earned them dedicated fans across the country.
